Liquid Wrap FAQ.

Q. What are the differences between Plasti Dip, Halo EFX, and Raail?

A.  All three products are different and suit better to different circumstances. They are all high quality products and deliver a unique finish to make your vehicle stand out from the crowd. We have done a lot of testing with these products against different factors like age of the vehicle, clear coat condition, repainted and primed areas, and other ways that could cause liquid wrap products to not behave as expected. These are all ways that can possibly affect the way the product covers, bonds, and peels to the vehicle surface.

Q.  What is the difference between a standard liquid wrap and Halo EFX True Gloss?

Halo EFX True Gloss - a quantum leap in the reversible coatings industry. This new and exciting technology brings with it enhanced benefits when used as a top coat over the Halo EFX base solution. Now your personalized look can have the benefits of a real OEM factory finish. Among the benefits are fuel, chemical and scratch resistance. This specially formulated clear coat mimics an OEM finish such that it can be wet-sanded, buffed, polished and waxed to bring out the best Halo EFX True Gloss has to offer!

Q.  How long will my liquid wrap last?

A.  When properly cared for a liquid wrap can last up to 3-5 years without having to be retouched. It is very durable and will not lose its bond unless it is peeled. Liquid wraps are extremely resistant to the elements including, sun exposure [Neon colors WILL fade over time], cold temperatures, ice, salt, etc, which makes liquid wrap an excellent protective coating during the winter seasons in cold climates. These products have also been heat tested to 200° F and our customers who have had their wheels and even calipers dipped, have had great success with the product holding up to the temperatures of daily driving as well as harder driving, like rally and track events.

Q.  Does liquid wrap hold up to gasoline?

A.  A standard liquid wrap is a solvent based coating and DOES NOT hold up to gasoline contact. Please be very careful when filling your tank, working with gasoline, solvents, or thinners of any kind near dipped surfaces. For every day use you can order a dip guard gasoline protector, it is a rubber mat that can be rolled back up to the full tube to prevent gas drips on the finished product.

Q.  How do I wash and care for my liquid wrap?

A.  Liquid wrap can easily be hand washed with soap and water. Touch free car washes are USUALLY safe and spray detailers will prolong the life of your liquid wrap. We are a one stop shop if you want to continue using the Chemical Guys products that you receive from us when you pick up your car!
